Rib Info The club rib is 5.8 meters and holds eight fully kitted divers; the rib is a rigid inflatable, with a 90 horse power Merc engine. It has GPS, an echo sounder, to locate wrecks and establish the depth of water before diving, and with safety being paramount in the club the rib is also equipped with a radio.
The club normally takes it out about 5-6 times a year and it is usually used all weekend at Bovisands.
Cost of using the rib per person: Single dive £10 Plus,(An equal share of petrol and towing fee) Diver Coxswain courses are normally a national event, which is open to BSAC members, but you have to bring your own boat! All regions run courses so there is quite a few each year.
