Woodstock Divers were awarded £7690 from the Awards for all; this is an award by the Lottery Grants for Local Groups from the Big Lottery Fund.
Our project was to give people form our local community the opportunity to experience Scuba Diving. With the financial help of the award we can accommodate people from all age groups, encourage and train then to enjoy the wonders in our Oceans. Within the training the individuals receive basic life support, use of AED (Automated External Defibrillator) which will give confidence to tackle situations outside of their normal lifestyle. Training and refresher courses are ongoing within BSACorganisation. Those with aptitude are always encouraged to progress onwards through the organisation and pass on their knowledge.
