This year BSAC did a new award called “Branch volunteer of the year” in which John Maxted and Lesly Conroy nominated me. What a surprise it was, when Alison from BSAC phoned me in December to inform me that I was one of the winners. I was given a Suunto D6 computer and a certificate. I am still in shock at having won this award as I have never had this happen to me before and it has given me such a buzz to know that I am appreciated so much within the club.
